Next Waypoint Media
Exploring fandom, creativity and culture through stories that connect and inspire.
At Next Waypoint Media, I explore the intersection of fandom and creativity, telling stories about how the things we love shape us, push us to create, and blur the line between fan and artist.
I dive deep into fandom culture, examining how artists and fans influence one another and uncovering the evolution from passionate audience to active creator - all with humour, curiosity, and a fair bit of chaos.
While I’m actively building a community around these stories, my goal is to platform the voices of fans and creators who are shaping culture from the ground up. My long-term vision is to produce immersive documentaries that showcase the fan-to-creator journey, starting with a docuseries on K-pop’s global impact and the unique relationship between fans and idols.

About
I never set out to build a media platform. I just wanted to understand how one K-pop idol could challenge everything I knew about myself. What started as a search for answers grew into something much bigger - Next Waypoint Media.

I’ve always been a storyteller, drawn to the in-between spaces where identity and meaning unfold. Writing was my first language but my need to question and understand the world influences everything I do. Fandom and media have always fascinated me, not just as entertainment but as forces that shape who we are. The deeper I went, the more I realised that we as fans exist in a dynamic, symbiotic relationship with the things we love. And that is the story I want to tell.
That realisation turned into Next Waypoint Media. This is a space to document, analyse and challenge the way we engage with media.
Along the way, I’m having to face my own fears - pushing past perfectionism, self-doubt and the fear of being seen. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that the most compelling stories come from those who take the leap.

Next Waypoint Media is about capturing the fan-to-creator journey and amplifying the voices that shape culture from the ground up. Through high-quality storytelling and media projects I aim to:
Document and support how fans evolve into creators
Explore the intersection of fandom and creativity
Encourage fans to take ownership of their creative voice
Whether it’s an interview, documentary or a cringeworthy TikTok, the goal remains the same: to tell the stories that connect us all.

Fandom culture can shape us as creators and cultural architects. This evolving space can transform both the fans and the artists they admire.
Fandom culture is about being seen and heard. Fandom provides connection, validation and the courage to create. It’s about how we see ourselves.
Fandom is participation. Engagement, transformation and influence are at the heart of fandom. It’s not just about consuming content. It’s about interacting with it, reshaping and making it our own.
The Creative Exchange. The line between artist and audience is thinner than ever. Fans influence trends, push creative boundaries, shift the trajectory of artists’ careers, and reshape entire industries.

My Bias
bias noun (K-pop)
bi·as |ˈbī-əs
A K-pop fan’s favourite member in a group, often chosen based on admiration, personality or talent.
K-pop never particularly interested me. And then one video clip ruined it all!
I’m still figuring out what happened, but I wasn’t watching a TikTok anymore. I was witnessing an idol perform with such power and stage charisma that I can still pinpoint the moment I felt something snap in my brain. What followed was a complete shift in the trajectory of my life, and in its wake came the foundation upon which Next Waypoint Media is being built.
So who is this person? Well, that’s between me and my alt-accounts!
Jokes aside, keeping my bias to myself keeps the story focused where it belongs. He was a catalyst, a song breathing life into my dreams. But Next Waypoint Media isn’t about him. It’s about everything that came after.
People love to speculate though, so take your best guess! But I also invite you to think about why you connect so deeply with the artists and fandoms YOU love.
After all, that’s where all of our stories wait for us: to turn passion into purpose, and where even a single moment can shift the course of everything.
